Why we started the Felton Family Foundation

Felton Mentoring & Scholarship Foundation (FMSF) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, established in 2016 by Sister and Brother, Drs. Chandra R. Felton and Jeffery M. Felton. We provide mentoring, tutoring, educational enrichment activities and support services to middle and high school students. We also award a Health/Science and a General Studies Scholarship to high school seniors accepted into a two or 4-year academic institution. Initially, FMSF was created to support students from our hometown of Cordele Georgia, a small rural town in South Georgia where there are minimal opportunities and programs geared towards uplifting and encouraging the youth. Our overall mission is to support underprivileged youth and ensure that they have an equal opportunity to succeed. After establishing a solid foundation supporting the youth in Cordele, we decided to expand our initiative and offer services here in the Metro-Atlanta area and throughout Georgia.
To-date, we have presented 16 scholarship awards and book stipends to deserving students.
